Bonjour! (Can you tell I recently married a guy with a cool French last name? Well, I did, and now I’m trying to expand on the the little bits of the language I learned from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.)
I’ve got a degree in broadcast journalism from Temple University, and enough real-world experience to know that newsrooms don’t quite live up to their hype.
I began my marketing career at a law firm in Philadelphia. I learned how to use lots of big words. I also learned that working with lawyers largely means spending 23 hours a day reading documents and foregoing all human contact. I really like reading, but I also really like people. And sunlight.
In search of both, I joined an environmental graphic design firm as Sales & Marketing Coordinator. Then, after finally figuring out what environmental graphic design actually means, my husband got a job in Connecticut. So we packed up our bags and moved to Bridgeport: swimming pools…movie stars.
I’ll always be a Philly girl at heart, but while here I’m going to take advantage of everything CT has to offer. I also fully expect to drag my husband (known to folks at Gabardine, affectionately, as “Frenchy”) to Broadway shows. Is Beauty and the Beast still playing?

Putting the Geek in "Gleek"
I was a Gleek before the show even came out. In fact, if Rachel Berry didn’t wear such God-awful outfits on the show, I’d swear Ryan Murphy had been following me around high school, gathering inspiration for his main character.
Six years of twists and turns, and we're still lost.
Tuesday nights will never be the same for my husband. This weekend he said goodbye to a very dear friend. To prepare for this send-off, we lovingly cooked some dishes in his friend’s honor…pulled pork sandwiches, tropical fruit salad, a peanut butter-based dessert, and Dharma beer (sorry, no hyperlink for this one folks; the genuine stuff is still on some island).
